Track Vacuum Cleaner Car
Track cleaning car for all H0 track and control systems, analog and digital.
Item No. 8830 ~AC System Märklin¹
With SSF-09 control electronics (automatic start/stop function) and Faulhaber¹ motor.
Use the track cleaning car to remove debris from your model railway layouts.
Dust and dirt particles from the ambient air and scenery construction and thus achieve:
- Functional reliability of model railway vehicles
- Reliable current collection from the track and center rail
- Uninterrupted operation
The mobile and fully functional Lux track cleaning car for all H0 track and control systems was specially
designed to remove loose dust and dirt particles from the entire track area.
Experience has shown that it is precisely these dirt deposits from the ambient air and scenery construction
that impair the reliable function of the precision mechanical components (gears, coupling rods, axle bearings,
electrical contacts, etc.). Even the finest contamination on the railhead can lead to significant operational disruptions.
The innovative and reliable cleaning technology of the Lux track vacuum car is integrated into a rail vehicle,
allowing even particularly inaccessible areas of your model railway, such as tunnels, hidden sidings, and track
sections under overhead lines, to be cleaned without difficulty. This significantly extends the maintenance-free
operating time of your rail vehicles.
The track cleaning car is powered by the track voltage and can be pulled or pushed by standard locomotives.
It has no drive mechanism.
The vehicle is equipped with close-coupling kinematics and NEM coupler pockets. Power is supplied via
the 4-point wheel contact set or the ski pickup shoe on the bogie. The cleaning system is driven by a durable
and maintenance-free coreless motor (Faulhaber1).
The innovative SSF-09 control electronics (automatic start/stop function) operate based on movement.
When the car is moved on the powered track (pulled or pushed by a locomotive), the cleaning system
switches on automatically. When the moving, activated cleaning car comes to a stop (e.g., at a signal),
the cleaning system switches off automatically. The cleaning car can be used on both analog and
digitally controlled layouts.
The suction brush is fixed to the chassis base and can be replaced. This ensures optimal brush performance
at sleeper height. It loosens the finest particles from the sleeper grid and the rail. The dirt particles are then
conveyed to a collection container via the suction nozzle. The extracted air escapes through a microfilter in the
cover of the dust container.
An optional accessory kit for all H0 track vacuum wagons is the Fe1 H0 scrap collector (item no. 8828),
designed to collect ferrous deposits (nails, screws, shavings) from the entire track area.
Caution! Use with reed switches is limited.
Technical Data:
The vehicle was designed in accordance with European model railway standards and is protected by patent law.
