caked-on oil and dirt residuesdeposits from traction tire abrasion oxide layers on the rail, center
rail, and contact wire and thus achieve:
significantly longer operating hours for your vehicles reliable current collection from the rail, center rail,
and contact wire uninterrupted operation

The fully functional, mobile rail and overhead line cleaning car for all H0 track and control systems was
specially developed to remove caked-on oil and dirt residues from the rail, center rail, and contact wire.
Even the finest dirt on the railhead can lead to significant operational disruptions.

By integrating the innovative and reliable cleaning technology into a rail vehicle, even particularly
inaccessible areas of your model railway, such as tunnels, hidden sidings, and track sections
with overhead wires, can be easily cleaned.
The maintenance-free operating time of your rail vehicles is significantly increased, and reliable
power pickup from the rail, center rail, and overhead wire is achieved.
The cleaning car is powered by the track voltage and can be pulled or pushed by standard locomotives.
It has no drive mechanism.
The vehicle is equipped with close-coupling kinematics and NEM coupler pockets.
Power is supplied via the 4-point wheel contact set or the ski pickup shoe on the car's bogie.
The cleaning system is driven by a durable and maintenance-free coreless motor (Faulhaber1).

The innovative SSF-09 control electronics (automatic start/stop function) are motion-activated.
When the car is moved on the powered track (pulled or pushed by a locomotive),
the cleaning system switches on automatically. When the moving, activated cleaning car comes
to a stop (e.g., at a signal), the cleaning mechanism switches off automatically.
The cleaning car can be used on both analog and digitally controlled layouts.
The battery pack, carried in the cleaning car and charged via the track voltage, buffers the cleaning
mechanism's motor in the event of a power interruption on the rail (e.g., due to dirt).
This ensures the cleaning car maintains its cleaning function even on short, unpowered track sections.

The high-speed, radially acting cleaning mechanism rotates over the railhead
(or, if applicable, the center rail or overhead line) and can be adjusted using a height adjustment screw.
The drive unit is mounted on one side in a car chassis, allowing it to optimally compensate
for differences in track height.

The predominantly soft polishing materials also conform slightly to the railhead, thus cleaning
the extremely critical inner surface of the profile head and the points of the center rail.

For overhead line cleaning, the drive unit is rotated 180° and spring-loaded against
the contact wire using the included compression spring (see image).
Use the overhead line polishing wheel (item no. 9048) for this purpose.

Various materials are available for cleaning the track and overhead line systems
(item nos. 9044–9048). Our track and overhead line cleaning car is equipped with
a polishing wheel (item no. 9046) as standard.
This should be replaced after approximately 30–50 operating hours (depending on the level of dirt).
